What started as the name Kevin Fellows used to title his mix tapes eventually turned into an actual band. Dave White (guitar, vocals), John Davis (keyboards, vocals), Kevin Fellows (bass guitar) and Wayne Curtiss (drums, vocals) got together in the Summer of 1986 and started jamming. Jam sessions turned into twice a week practices and trying various covers morphed into writing original songs. Some of those earlier efforts are here.

In 1988 Traveler set out to find a new lead singer. This didn't work out very well, resulting in some amusing stories that we still tell to this day. Finally, when all was thought lost, Carol Grandy rescued the band and joined us to fill that very role. 1988 and 89 were very productive years for Traveler. In the Summer of 1988 the band made their one and only "professional" recording engineered by Jerry Putnam at Airwaves Studio in Manchester, NH. The band recorded 'Pull the Strings' and 'Having it All', releasing the two tracks as a cassette single.

In 1992 Traveler reformed with a new line-up. Dave and John continued their guitar and keyboard duties while Wayne picked up the bass. Wayne managed to find us a new drummer in Kevin Hess of Andover, NH. Kevin was only 19 years old when he started with Traveler and was already a highly accomplished drummer.
In addition to the new lineup, Traveler's sound evolved as well, becoming somewhat harder edged. John took over a large part of the singing duties and began writing as well. Traveler's last gig was at The Manor in Georges Mills, NH in the winter of 1993. Some of the recordings below are from that gig or the rehearsals preceding it.
